I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the customary face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really happening.
